Live stream War Thunder 12/14/24

 Live Stream of War Thunder

On Friday 12/14/2024 I did another live stream of playing War Thunder and there were some issues. I  found out that part of the chat was not linked up and to fix this I had to split the stream into two parts. It did get fixed.

Here is the recording of that live stream. I will be editing a copy to clean up later for my channel. I do want to say thank you for watching it and thank you to the new supporter of my Youtube channel.

Prime Opinion

One way I earn online is through surveys. Now I am not going to get rich doing so but I do make some money to play with. Ok, so I play with 25% of it in the stock market learning. Let me explain. I earn $20 at a time on Prime Opinion and then I buy $5 in stocks. The other $15 I am using to build up our emergency funds savings. More on that later as well.

I have gone from one site to another in my lifetime promising you can make money. Most of those sites are gone. But Prime Opinion has been around for over a year now. My account says I joined in September 2023. In that time, I have cashed out over $300.00. And no, it is not much but it was my first step. Prime opinion is also my daily motivator. Every time I complete a house chore I get to do a survey. When I get paid for a survey it is like a reward to myself.

You won’t finish them all

With Prime Opinion you may start a survey and, in a few questions, get disqualified. They give you a bit for that. 1 to 4 cents. It all adds up to your goal of cashing out. Most surveys that they say you qualify for will pay you and I look for one cent per minute or better. But anything to get me to my $20 goal.

Yes, you can set different payout goals. Since I like cash in my bank account, I go with the lowest transfer amount of $20. You can select other payout methods and amounts.

My Stats

As you can see from my screenshot. I earned 36.262 points. At 1 cent per point that is $362.62 earned. I am in the top 6% of the earners. This surprises me.

My next screenshot is my rewards currently. As you look down you will see I earned 2500 points or $25. This was for completing five hundred surveys. A lot of the payouts were small surveys or disqualifications. You just keep going. Like I said. I do the dishes. That is a survey. I sweep the floors. That is a survey, a load of laundry, a survey.

Don’t get discouraged

Find ways to keep motivated. Once you cash out two or three times you are building a nest egg or using the money for paying bills, treating yourself, or having a bit of extra spending cash. It is like putting change in a jar. Every bit helps.

Sportsman Meat Cuber Tenderizer

 Sportsman Meat Cuber Tenderizer.

If you are like me and enjoy not only eating beef or pork steaks but also making them, then you know what it is like to tenderize the steak at times. Often, I like to make minute steaks or a good old-fashioned country-fried steak. Because of this love, I received the gift of a Meat Cuber Tenderizer Sportsman series from a friend. He heard me pounding on the steaks with a meat hammer one afternoon getting ready to fry them up. He said it sounded like I was demolishing the kitchen,

Using the tenderizer is quite simple. You just clamp it to the side of your countertop till tight by hand. Attach the cover over the rollers. Then you attach the removable handle with the provided screw by hand. The Tenderizer is then ready to tenderize your steaks easily. Set up takes less than two minutes. With a few turns of the crank on the tenderizer each steak is ready for seasoning or cooking.

Cleaning is Simple.

Cleaning the Sportsman Meat Cuber Tenderizer is just as simple, especially when done right after using it. The plastic cover comes right off the tenderizer for you to clean or place in the dishwasher. The handle is removed as easily as you attached it. I have not put the metal parts in the dishwasher for fear that it may tarnish like aluminum pans do with the dishwashing soaps.

The hardest part that I found was cleaning the rollers. But with a spray nozzle, a sponge, and dish soap they came clean easily. I just ran the sponge between the rollers before removing the handle and this worked well. The whole cleaning process took only a couple of minutes.

The Benefits of the Tenderizer

The time I saved not hammering out the steaks for my family with a meat hammer was nice. One of the best benefits I have from this meat tenderizer is that it makes the beef easier for the older members of my family. One who has dentures and can't eat hard items. The other has a hard time cutting food with their hands now. It has been easier for everyone to cut up their steak.

There is also the benefit of tenderizing your thin steaks before marinating them. Such as when making a stir fry or fajitas. Tenderizing opens the grain in the meat allowing your marinate and seasonings to penetrate and flavor the steaks better making your own meal that much better.

In conclusion

I really had my doubts about using this device and honestly, I felt a bit insulted when the gift arrived because I thought my friend did not think I did a good job on the stakes. Now I know, it was to save my countertop and cutting board as he put it.

What he saved was my time and worry about my inlaws. While I may have to cut their meat up still I know it should not be hard for them to chew.

Pur Plus Faucet Water Filter.

 Pur Plus Faucet Water Filter.

People do not often think about the water they drink or use daily. I know I sure do not. This was until three years ago when we had a small older dog living with us. This poor dog was getting kidney stones and urinary tract infections constantly. At least it felt that way. We changed her diet repeatedly. Still the same problem. Then it came to one of us that it was the water we set out for her. We all used the same tap water when making meals and drinking our coffee or tea.

So, we started pouring a bottle of water every morning into her water bowl. For three months she had no issues. But I had an issue with the cost, the space needed to store the water, and the plastic bottles that were going into the trash. (Our garbage company had no recycling set up yet.)

Finding the water filter

I looked at water filtration for the house. Our budget at the time restricted me a bit. We could not afford something to filter the entire house. Fortunately, I did find the Pur Plus faucet water filter. It cost me just a little more than a case of water did. The filters were very reasonable. I could install it right onto the kitchen sink myself and everyone in the house could use it.

Now it does come in assorted colors, but our kitchen has a cottage feel to it, so I went with the basic chrome look to match the faucet. I did choose the Vertical style over the horizontal style to get cosmetic looks.

Installing the Pur Plus faucet water filter.

Installing the Pur Plus faucet water filter was easy. I just removed the water diffuser from my faucet in the kitchen. Pushed the filter onto the faucet where the diffuser was till it clicked in place. Unscrewed the top of the housing for the water filter. Dropped in the fresh filter. It goes right in, and you do not have to line up for anything. Just drop it in and press it down with your fingers till you feel it seal. Then screw back on the top of the housing.

Now just turn on your water at the faucet. It will pour out as normal. Then flip the black switch on the side and it will divert the water to the filter. For 5 seconds or so charcoal dust will come out then the water will run clear. You are then done.

Using your new water filter.

We use two to three gallons of water a day using the Pur Plus faucet water filter. With three coffee drinkers in the morning, a gallon of sweet tea made a day. The cooking (yes, we filter that water too, it is in our food) and all the pets we water. Oh, and I forget the house plants we water from time to time. I honestly use this filter more than I would have thought.

I do have to change out the filter every fifty to sixty days. I buy the filters in a six-pack, and they average under $6 each. With each filter lasting one hundred gallons or so that is only 6 cents a gallon. They are about the size of a light bulb, and I store the box of filters in the same place for convenience. There is also a light on the filter system that blinks green when you first turn the water on. Yellow when it gets close to needing to be replaced. Red when needing replacement.

Greetings I am Calamon

Welcome to Calamon's Corner. You may be wondering who Calamon is. I am in my late 40s and like to do many different things. I am a husband, a father, and a caretaker, so my time is full these days but I wanted to start this blog about different projects and things I am into in hopes of finding others who like the same things and are willing to share.

I have an interest in Crypto Currency, Video games, D&D, Stocks, and Cooking. I do surveys from time to time for spare cash which I use to play in the stock market to learn.  I do a Live recording of myself playing War Thunder on Fridays on YouTube or Twitch. I hope you will follow me as I talk about things, communicate to the world my experiences, and look for advice.
